Updated Government Fees as of 3/8/2005

You will pay a total of $142 dollars for the government processing fees. The fees are broken up accordingly. If you application is received by American Passport Express prior to March 8th then the total fees are only $130

A $30 amount is paid to the post office or court house you visit and kept by them. This is the fee they charge to help you with your application.

The $112* amount is given to the post office or court house agent (AA) and sealed in an envelope they provide. The AA does not keep the sealed envelope with the $112. The sealed envelope is sent by you to American Passport Express and will be given by our service to the Department of State Passport Agency.

*The $112 portion is comprised of a government expedite fee of $72 and a government processing fee of $40 dollars. (The $60 government expedite fee is not listed on the DS-11 form however it must be paid.)
