What If You Haven’t Received Your Passport
Sometimes, the Online Passport Status System and the National Passport Information Center say that your passport has already been sent to you. However, you have not received it yet.
If ten days passed without receiving your passport, you should contact the National Passport Information Center. You will need to complete the DS-86 Form, and the customer representative will guide you through this process.
Notice that you should report that you have not received your passport within three months (90 days) from the date you applied for a passport. If you did not report during this period, you would have to reapply and pay all the fees again.
What If You Have Moved Recently and Changed Your Address
You should inform the National Passport Information Center that you have changed your address before receiving your passport.
While you are filling out the child’s passport application, you will find a Mailing Address section on the Form DS-11. It is highly recommended to add either your name or the other parent’s name in this section.
